I warned you I'd be a rubbish blogger, a whole week gone by already and only one post in that time. As the old school reports used to say - Must try harder.
So anyway, it's been a pretty typical Saturday for me. Listened to Pick of the Pops on the radio, went down the town this afternoon and frivolously bought myself 3 almost identical hats in different colours (not that I do that every Saturday...) and now it's evening and it's wine and movie time.
Tonight, continuing my appreciation for the work of Ken Russell I'm going to watch 'Lisztomania' (come on, I can't be the only person who LOVES the inspired insanity of this film?)
Ringo Starr as a Bishop, Rick Wakeman as Thor pissing in the fireplace, Paul Nicholas as an evil Wagner and of course a half naked Roger Daltrey - what's not to like?

Saturday night's alright for writing
While most people my age are probably on the Jagerbombs by this time on a Saturday I prefer to sit here with a glass of red and update this ol' thing.
Well, I did get around to doing some painting at long last, and while it's safe to say I don't think I'll be winning the Turner prize anytime soon it gave me a great sense of satisfaction just to be holding a brush again.
I present er...Untitled
Today has been spent indulging my favourite hobby of music buying. I went to my favourite little record stall in Truro (Music Nostalgia - I'll give them a plug just in case anyone who may read this is in the area) and got my hands on a feast of Proggy goodness. Best of's from Camel and Family, a Steve Hackett concert DVD and Emerson, Lake & Palmer's 'Works' album on vinyl.
And now I must dash because I've got less than an hour before the documentary on Ken Russell is on the tele and I've got a curry to cook yet.
TTFN!
